A recorded reading is a tarot reading I prepare privately, off camera, for your question. Prices start at $35. Within three business days of receiving your question, I email you a private YouTube link to a video walkthrough of the reading, plus a written synthesis you can keep.

What arrives
- A private YouTube link to your video walkthrough. You see the spread, and I talk you through what the cards say about your question.
- A written synthesis of the reading, the part you can re-read when the situation moves.
- Both by email, within three business days of my receiving your question.
- The length you book sets how long the walkthrough runs.
How your question reaches me
Stripe checkout asks for your question in a sentence. That is all I need to begin.
If there is background you want me to have, reply to your Stripe receipt or use the email button on the confirmation page. For an astrology reading, checkout also has a field for your birth date, time and place.
The three business days start once I have the question. If anything is unclear, I ask by email before I read.
How I prepare
I read your question before I touch the cards, and usually more than once. Then I lay out the spread privately, with no camera on, and sit with it until I can see what the cards are doing together, not only what each one means alone. I make notes as I go. Only then do I record the walkthrough, so the video is me explaining a reading I have already worked through. The written synthesis comes last, once I have seen the whole thing.

Recorded is its own kind of reading
A recorded reading is not a stand-in for a live one. Its advantage is time: I work through the spread without anyone waiting on me, and you get it in a form you can replay and re-read. If you would rather talk it through in real time, ask questions as they come up and steer where the reading goes, that is what live readings are for.
Questions about recorded readings
- How long does a recorded reading take?
- It arrives within three business days of my receiving your question. For an astrology reading, the clock starts once I also have your birth date, time and place.
- How is a recorded reading delivered?
- By email: a private YouTube link to your video walkthrough, and the written synthesis. You can watch the video as many times as you like, on any device.
- How do I send my question?
- Stripe checkout asks for your question in a sentence. That is enough for me to start. If there is background you want me to have, reply to your Stripe receipt or email me.
- What if my question needs more explanation?
- Send it by email, as much as you like. What is going on, what you have already tried, and what prompted the question all help. If anything is unclear, I will ask by email before I read.
- Which length should I choose?
- 15 minutes is right for one question looked at closely. 30 minutes gives a question room to be seen from several angles, or covers two related ones. 60 minutes is for several questions and the connections between them.
- Can I pay with Cash App or PayPal?
- Yes. Send the payment, then email ordinarymysticreadings@gmail.com with the reading you paid for and your question. Card payments through Stripe are the quickest route, since checkout collects the question for you.
- Do you predict the future?
- No. I talk about timing, tendencies and patterns, and you always keep the choice. Instead of "this will happen," a reading with me looks at what is worth paying attention to right now and what you might try.
